Let me start by introducing myself. My name is David Knight A.K.A Big Sarge.

After graduating high school in 1984, I enlisted in the U.S. Army. I served in the 82nd Airborne for four years. During that time, I served at Fort Bragg and Italy. From my duty stations, I trained in 14 countries including Germany and Northern Turkey.

While in the Army, I always wondered what I wanted to do after I have finished serving. I found a book at the library called ''What Cops Know.'' In the book, cops told stories that they had experienced on calls. I knew then that's what I wanted to do -- become a cop. After the military, with an Honorable Discharge, I applied at several police departments. Within three weeks, I was hired by the Spalding County Sheriffs Department in Griffin, Georgia. I worked in the Jail dept. for a couple of years. After going to the Police Academy, I was transferred to the Uniform Patrol Division. I currently serve as a Shift Commander in Uniform Patrol.

I have never been the type of person who is satisfied doing one thing. During my career I have always worked other jobs. I ran 12 private security jobs at one time. I later started selling cars. Due to being a full-time Law Enforcement Officer, it was hard to sell at a dealership on my off days. I knew that I loved selling cars, but I also knew that Law Enforcement wasn't just a job but it is a way of life; and a large part of who I am. Law Enforcement is my passion.

In 2007, I started talking to my dear friend, Rogers (Software Architect at ROGEE^® Corporation) about a website for public servants. We came up with the idea of starting an Auto Network with dealerships across the United States that will commit to marketing to public servants. I consider all Public Servants a part of my family because I know the sacrifices you make -- I do the same everyday. This Country, States, Counties or Cities could not exist without public servants.
